Mickleden Straddle Cancelled
Due to deep snow on the course at Cut Gate, the Mickleden Straddle fell race scheduled for Sunday 7 February has been cancelled.
We regret having to do this, but there is little prospect of conditions improving significantly before Sunday and clearly the safety of those taking part must come first. This is only the second time in almost 20 years of the Mickleden Straddle that we have had to cancel due to bad weather.
We will try and contact all those who have entered, but please pass the word to anyone planning to run. Please note that cheques sent by those intending to run have not been cashed and will now be shredded.

Coach George Russell, re-energized after his trip down under, has prodcued a varied programme of quality sessions for Thursday evenings. Travellers 6 Road Race
Sunday 21 December
161 runners braved the cold weather and snow showers to take part in the race. David Thompson of Barnsley AC won in an excellent time of 34.52. Julie Buckley of Penistone FPR won the ladies race in 41.54. Well done to all who took part, especially those who dressed as Santa specially for the occasion!
