Birdsedge Challenge

6m Multi-Terrain Race

Sunday 4 July 2010

The race was won by Shaun Dimelow of Barnsley Harriers (pictured right) in an excellent time of 33.26, ahead of Andy Whitworth of Meltham and Steve Roebuck of Penistone. Ross McClelland was the first Traveller home finishing 4th in 37.16.

Karen Pickles of Pudsey Pacers won the ladies race finishing in 39.41. The Denby Dale team of Ross McClelland, Tom McNally and Steve Blackford won the men's team prize, Holmfirth taking the ladies team prize with Margaret Sykes, Lesley Ewart and Jacqui Khoueiry.

Dearne Way Relay Entry Form

Dearne Way Relay 2010

The Dearne Way Relay is to be held on Sunday 19 September 2010. The race is a 3-leg relay over an 18 mile off-road course based on the route of the Dearne Way footpath.
The race starts and finishes at The Pie Hall in Denby Dale (10.00am start). Leg 1 is from The Pie Hall to Bretton Park. Leg 2 returns to Denby Dale and the final leg is from Denby Dale to Birdsedge and back.
