The Travellers teams put in good performances with the Men finishing 8th overall and the mixed team 11th. The weather was cooler than usual for the race, but the recent rain made conditions quite testing, but as always an excellent and very enjoyable event.
Best performances from the Travellers were probably Tom McNally and Ross McClelland, who both finished in 2nd position on their leg.

Can You Beat Badger?

Tuesday 29 June at 7pm

Denby Dale's finest will again be taking on the mighty Badger over a 4 mile route from Shelley to Clayton West, via Cuckoo's Nest. We will first take the train from the Kirklees Light Railway station at Clayton West to Shelley, before the runners race the train on the return journey.

This event is organised with Kirklees Light Railway, to whom we are very grateful. There is no charge to runners and their families for the train ride, but donations to Cancer Research are invited. Away Day Dates -2010

The Watch Your Time event from Anglers Country Park was very enjoyable, despite the wet weather. Many thanks to Dave and Rosalind for their hospitality!. Summer away day dates are as follows:
-Tuesday 3 August, Ingbirchworth Relays 7pm from The Fountain PH. Details soon from Pete Andrews.
- Tuesday 24 August, The Ingbirchworth Duathlon (run and bike) from the Founain PH at Ingbirchworth. the route is the same as last year; details available by following the link on this page. Meet 6.30pm at The Fountain, Ingbirchworth.
