Health and Safety
The guidance note available on this page provides lots of helpful common sense tips, like wearing something bright and reflective at night. John Shone, is our health and safety rep and will be pleased to offer advice on safe running at the Pie Hall on Club nights.
John has also prepared a draft 'Emergency Procedures' document, which is available for comment by following the link on this page. The purpose of this document is to provide guidance on what to do if something goes wrong whilst taking part in Club activities.

London Marathon 2012
The Travellers have 2 guaranteed entries for the 2012 race, which takes place on Sunday 22 April. Jo Worboys and Nathan Collinson were the lucky winners in the recent ballot. We wish them the best of luck in their training and in the race.
Runner v Bike Challenge
The Runner v Bike Challenge took place on Wednesday 29 December, from the Pie Hall. 25 runners and 10 cyclists took part with the runners competing over a mainly off-road course of 7.1 miles and the cyclists taking on a course of around 12 miles.
The runners had the better of things this year with Ross McClelland first to finish in 52.35 and Steve Hodgson the first cyclist in 61.37. Results are available by following the link on this page, courtesy of event organiser John Shone.
DDT Club Handicap
The Club Handicap which took place on Sunday 22 January was a great success with more than 20 club members taking part. The event, organised by Jegs Morris was based at The George, Upper Denby with the runners competing over a 6 mile multi-terrain course around Gunthwaite and Upper Denby.
Rosalind Bedford was the overall winner, finishing first on handicap with Steve Blackford the fastest runner. Rosalind is pictured right receiving her prestigious prize from Jegs. Also pictured is last years' winner Vicky McClelland, with two of the next generation of Travellers!
DDT Christmas Dinner
A date for the diary! The annual Christmas Dinner and Presentation Evening will be held on Friday 27 April at The Old Canteen, Barncliffe Mills, Shepley. Menus and booking details will be available soon from Roger and Rachel Lawty.
